FAQS

The questions below come up most often, grouped by subject. If yours is not here, write to us and we will answer it.

Orders & Payment

How do I place an order?

Choose the size and fabric on the product page, add the item to your cart and go to checkout. Enter your shipping and billing details, pay, and a confirmation email with your order number follows shortly afterwards.

What payment methods do you accept?

PayPal, debit cards, and credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. All payments run through the PayPal gateway, which is PCI DSS certified.

Do I need a PayPal account to pay by card?

No. At checkout, choose the option to pay by debit or credit card and enter your details as a guest. No account is created.

When am I charged?

The full amount, including shipping and any sales tax, is taken at checkout when the order is placed.

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax is calculated at checkout where applicable, based on your delivery address, and is shown as a separate line before you pay.

My payment was declined. What now?

Check the card details and that the billing address matches the one your bank holds, then try again or use another method. Please avoid repeated attempts, as each one can leave a pending authorization. If you are unsure whether money was actually taken, email us before ordering again.

Can I cancel or change an order?

Yes, within 24 hours of placing it and provided it has not entered fulfillment. Email us with Cancel or Change and your order number in the subject line. Custom, made-to-order and cut-to-length items cannot be canceled once work has begun.

Shipping

How much is shipping?

A flat $4.95 per order to any eligible U.S. address, whatever the size or number of items.

Where do you ship?

To street addresses in the fifty United States and the District of Columbia. We cannot ship to P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses, U.S. territories, or destinations outside the United States.

How long will my order take?

Preparation takes 1 to 3 business days and transit takes 5 to 7 business days, so most orders arrive 6 to 10 business days after they are placed. Orders placed after 12:00 PM CT start processing the next business day.

Which carriers do you use?

USPS, UPS and FedEx. The carrier is chosen by package size and destination, and we cannot take requests for a specific one.

How do I track my order?

A tracking number is emailed within 24 hours of the parcel being handed to the carrier. It can take another day or two for the tracking to show movement.

My tracking says delivered but nothing arrived.

Check with others in the household, look around porches and mail rooms, and ask immediate neighbors. Let us know within 7 days of the delivery scan and we will open a trace with the carrier.

My order arrived damaged.

Email us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the item, the outer packaging and the shipping label, and keep the packaging until the claim is settled. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return window?

30 days from the delivery date. Items must be unused, unwashed, unfitted, and returned with their original tags and packaging, with proof of purchase.

How do I start a return?

Email us with your order number, the item and the reason. We will reply with a return authorization and the address. Please do not send anything back before you have that authorization.

Who pays return shipping?

We do, if the return is down to our error — a fault, the wrong item, or transit damage. Otherwise return shipping is paid by the customer, and the original $4.95 shipping charge is not refunded.

How long does a refund take?

Returns are inspected within 1 to 3 business days of arriving with us. Once approved, refunds go back to the original payment method and take 3 to 13 business days to appear, depending on your bank.

Do you do exchanges?

Not directly. Return the original item under our policy and place a new order for the replacement.

What cannot be returned?

Custom, made-to-order and personalized items, fabric cut to length or sold by the yard, clearance and final-sale items, gift cards, and anything showing wear, soiling or missing its original packaging.

Products & Fabrics

What do you sell online?

Throw pillow covers, and only throw pillow covers. Standard squares, long lumbar shapes, and the larger euro and floor sizes, in indoor upholstery-weight fabrics and in outdoor fabrics chosen for sun and moisture. Reupholstery and alterations are shop services and are not sold through the website.

Do the covers come with pillow inserts?

No. Every cover is sold on its own, so you can keep using the fill you already have. If you do need new inserts, any craft or home store will have them in the same standard sizes.

How do I measure for a cover?

Measure the insert itself rather than the old cover, which will have stretched. Lay it flat and measure seam to seam across the widest point in both directions. Order the cover in the same size as the insert for a relaxed look, or one inch smaller for a full, firm one. If your insert sits between two of our sizes, take the smaller one.

What kind of closure do they have?

A hidden zipper set into one seam, so nothing shows from the front, and long enough that a firm insert goes in and comes out without forcing a corner.

Can I wash them?

Indoor covers can be removed and machine washed cold on a gentle cycle, then hung to dry. Please do not tumble dry them, as heat is what shrinks a cover past the point of fitting. Outdoor covers can be hosed down, wiped and left to air dry.

Will the color match what I see on screen?

It will be close, but screens differ and woven fabric photographs differently in daylight and artificial light. Slight variation between production runs of the same fabric is also normal and is not a fault.

Are the outdoor covers suitable for constant sun?

They are cut from solution-dyed, UV-stable outdoor fabric and sewn with bonded polyester thread, which is the same combination we use on patio and boat seating. How long any cover lasts still depends on how much sun, salt and moisture it takes, so bringing them in over winter will always extend their life.

Can you make a size you don’t list?

Often, yes. Email us the insert measurements and we will tell you whether we can do it and what it would cost. Made-to-order covers cannot be canceled once cut, and cannot be returned afterwards.

Can I supply my own fabric?

For work brought into the shop, yes — customers do this regularly, particularly for vehicle and RV interiors where a specific material is needed. For online orders we sew only from the fabrics we hold.

In-Shop Services in Foley

What do you do in the shop that you don’t sell online?

Full reupholstery of furniture, RV and camper interiors, boat and patio seating, headboards and dining sets, along with garment alterations — hems, seams, zippers, taking in and letting out.

Do I need an appointment?

No, you are welcome during opening hours. For a large piece of furniture it helps if you email a photograph first so we know what is arriving.

How do I get a quote for reupholstery?

Bring the piece in, or email photographs with rough dimensions and a note on what you want done. A firm price needs the piece in front of us, because what is under the old fabric decides much of the work.

Are shop services covered by the return policy?

No. The Return & Refund Policy covers ready-made items bought through the website. Work carried out in the shop is discussed and agreed directly with you, and we will put right anything that is not as agreed.
